BTW, how many people right now have registered for this conference? If the results of this survey are any indication, (and of course the new referral strategy as well), I don't think we have 300 registrants yet. (Can registration give a confirmation as to the approx. number of registrants so far?) I don't like conferences cancelling at the last minute due to lack of participation-- I'm stuck paying for a hotel room now for the weekend of Oct. 3 through the 5th since I booked through Hotwire.com.
Of course, we did have Mikkakan in 2001 in NH with only 330 attendees, and the first Portcon Maine drew only 250 back in 2002....

I can assure you that there is ABSOLUTELY ZERO chance of PAC being cancelled.
Yeah, attendance isn't what we had initially expected, but we're still committed to making sure that everyone there has an amazing time. (In my experience, smaller cons tend to be a lot more fun too!)

I agree, there's nothing wrong with small cons!
There's a con that I'm going to the same month as PAC that might have 700 people in attendance if lucky!
Little cons are friendly cons!
